Pets + People is a trusted and respected manufacturer of pet and household consumer goods for leading brands such as Burts Bees, Arm & Hammer, Clorox and Glad, along with top entertainment properties Disney, Star Wars, Harry Potter and many more. We are looking for a talented, high energy, dynamic consumer packaged goods designer working on packaging (conceptual and line extensions), retail displays, trade shows and more.
The role is very production heavy
with existing line adaptations. The designer will report to the Packaging Design Manager.
Responsibilities Work on packaging concepts for new products and extensions for existing brands Work with product managers to make sure tasks have correct information Make sure all artwork is delivered on time and done correctly Make sure all designs meet internal, as well, as licensing partners brand guideline standards Ensure all production files are accurate and complete before releasing to factories Ensure proper procedure are being followed Participate in quarterly comp shopping trips Understand new brand needs and work cross-functionally on concepting new lines

Requirements Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in design/art 4+ years experience designing consumer goods packaging Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office software skills on Mac required Additional experience in printing, production and pre-press file set up Extensive knowledge of die lines, packaging, substrates, materials, and comping Able to render realistic products, POP, merchandising, planograms, etc. Strong typography/composition skills and color sense Have in-depth understanding on brand guidelines usage Experience with molded items, manufacturing, and trade shows Experience with work planners, such as Asana and servers is a plus Strong leadership skills with empathy and compassion Must have portfolio to share with related work
