Job Description:
- We are seeking a Social Media Strategist and Community Manager (temporary, 4-month assignment) to support CLIENT’s flagship social media accounts, with a strong emphasis on connecting with the Hispanic/Latino community.
- Reporting to the Sr. Director, Social Media and Marketing Integration, this role will be responsible for developing content, managing editorial calendars, and driving growth in engagement and key social media metrics.
- The strategist will play a central role in maintaining brand voice, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, and fostering meaningful community engagement.
Roles & responsibilities:
- Provide strategic guidance on social media content tied to CLIENT’s issue areas and enterprise strategic priorities.
- Assist in the development, scheduling, and posting of social media content across platforms.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with internal partners (Multicultural, Strategic Communications, Editorial, etc.).
- Draft and translate social copy in both English and Spanish, ensuring content engages diverse audiences.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice across established and emerging platforms.
- Execute and implement social scheduling, copywriting, and publishing.
- Serve as the liaison with the creative team (in-house and agency) regarding social content calendars.
- Proactively share best practices, opportunities, and strategic communications recommendations.
- Grow, engage, and report on key social media metrics and audience interactions.
- Analyze content performance and recommend strategies to deepen community engagement.
- Partner with influencers and grow brand champions as needed.
- Collaborate with the customer care team on community response efforts.
- Manage and monitor budget allocation, ensuring objectives are delivered on time.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, applying relevant innovations to CLIENT’s social initiatives.
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related discipline.
- 5–7 years of experience managing social media platforms at an agency or large, complex organization.
- Proven track record in social content strategy, community management, and engagement growth.
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish), with exceptional written and verbal skills.
- Previous multicultural marketing experience.
- Strong expertise in social media copywriting for brands.
- Proficiency with third-party scheduling tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Spredfast) and project management tools (Air Table, Asana).
- Experience using analytics and metrics to measure success and optimize performance.
- Excellent client service orientation, stakeholder engagement, and account management skills.
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate organizational politics and matrix management systems.
- Commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and high-quality execution.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with paid media management.
- Familiarity with influencer partnerships and outreach.
- Passion and curiosity for different cultures beyond prior multicultural marketing experience.
- Strong knowledge of emerging digital/social platforms and trends.
- Demonstrated passion for storytelling and high-quality content creation.
