Mars United Commerce is seeking a VP, Commerce Media to orchestrate all Retail Media activities for one of the agency’s largest clients. The ideal candidate will be a versatile media expert specializing in building best-in-class media strategies and plans for CPG brands across key Retail Media Networks, collaborating closely with the client’s National Media team and agency to develop integrated, full-funnel media programs. The role reports directly to the SVP, Media.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the owner and single point of contact to the client’s central Digital Commerce team for all cross-retailer Commerce Media requests, updates, presentations, recaps/reports, education, and thought leadership.
- Provide thought leadership, impacting and contributing to the client’s way of doing business on an ongoing basis.
- Act as a change agent and impact player from both internal and external perspectives, contributing to the performance of both the client and Mars United Commerce.
- Collaborate with the agency’s retailer-specific Commerce Media and broader media buying teams to provide centralized support for strategy, planning, JBP negotiations, etc.; identify trends and key learnings across retailers; and drive consistency and standards across deliverables.
- Be the liaison to the client’s National Media team and agency, working on strategies to strengthen connectivity and reduce duplication across Above the Line and Retail Media campaigns.
- Expand the assigned business by identifying emerging opportunities and securing additional revenue or new business acquisition.
- Manage client budgets to ensure profitability and contribute to department bonus attainment.
- Demonstrate financial acumen through understanding of income statements, balance sheets, and sales reports.
- Develop annual business plans, setting strategic short- and long-term goals for growth.
SKILLSETS REQUIRED:
- Experience in Commerce Media strategy within an agency, Retail Media Network, or CPG brand; 12+ years preferred.
- Deep understanding of CPG and retailer relationships, including JBP, Top to Tops, and Channel and Category Strategies.
- Existing experience and relationships with key Retail Media Networks and third-party partners.
- Collaborative teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Innovative mindset, always seeking improvement and growth.
- Dynamic personality capable of engaging and influencing senior audiences.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strategic thinking in Shopper Marketing and day-to-day business management.

Compensation Range: $146,490 - $200,400 annually. Salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications. The application deadline is August 30, 2025.
