BACKGROUND

Gymboree Play & Music is the world’s leading parent-child interactive play, music, and arts program for children ages newborn to five years. In 2016, we celebrated 40 years of bringing play, music, arts, and learning to families across the United States and around the world!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitate parent-child interactive activities.
• Teach birthday parties once fully trained.
• Plan lessons according to Gymboree curriculum.
• Achieve sales goals by promoting Gymboree features and benefits.
• Provide information and sell enrollments, merchandise, birthday parties, and special events to customers.
• Answer incoming calls, make outbound calls, greet and serve customers.
• Assist with off-site grassroots events (e.g., retail stores, community events).
• Manage operations including cleaning, stocking, pricing, and equipment setup.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
• Work with our online database management system.

KEY SKILLS AND TRAITS

• Experience working with children aged 0-5 preferred.
• Strong group leadership skills.
• Customer service oriented.
• Team player.
• Ability to lift at least 20 lbs. and move play equipment.
• Clean, professional appearance.
• Flexible schedule.

HOURS

Part-time positions available with flexible hours, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

COMPENSATION

Starting pay depends on experience. Paid training at $12/hour, increasing to $13/hour upon successful completion (~6 weeks).
