Job Summary/Description:

Gray Media is looking for an experienced journalist and news manager to help lead a team of producers and editors/and photographers as it launches a new daily talk show focused on health and consumer issues surrounding aging. This M-F show will air on all 113 Gray television stations. This is a new show being developed by Gray Media and an opportunity to join a team producing the next wave of syndicated programming for the company. This will NOT be a newscast. The ideal Executive Producer candidate will have a strong editorial and showcasing background. This is an opportunity to focus on important issues affecting communities across the country. This position is based in Atlanta, GA.

The Executive Producer will work with management to develop and execute the editorial vision and brand of the show. You will also work with management on recruiting, hiring, and scheduling of staff.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Work with Hosts to develop solutions-based content around topics affecting our viewers
- Manage Producers in the stacking, writing, and producing of the daily show
- Manage the Coordinating Producer as they work to locate and produce content from Gray stations
- Work with Producers to ensure they maintain the editorial and production standards of the show
- Work with Editor/Photographers to ensure they maintain the visual standards of the show
- Review Producer content for style, agreement with editorial policy, errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Oversee show development and segment execution
- Work with the Production Manager to develop and maintain an ongoing shooting and production schedule to meet regular deadlines
- Work with EP of Digital Content to develop and execute Digital/Social/CTV strategy and tactics
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

- 5 years of experience as a news manager or related television production experience
- Strong news leader with a creative vision
- The ability to interact professionally and effectively with Gray management at the station and corporate level
- Proficiency in Windows-based electronics and the ability to learn ENPS as well as new systems as they are implemented
- Understanding of BitCentral as well as new systems as they are implemented
- Understanding of digital CMS production and the ability to learn Arc as well as new systems as they are implemented.
- BS/BA in Journalism/Communications or equivalent background
- Flexibility with travel and work schedules
- Must be willing to live in Atlanta, GA DMA
- Must be 18 years or Older
