Field Theory is seeking an experienced Radio-Frequency (RF) Engineer to join our growing team of engineers. This position requires 5+ years of experience and is not entry level. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, willing to work in a fast-paced environment, and skilled at handling multiple projects. This is a full-time, fully onsite position with a competitive salary (estimated total compensation of $100k-$140k). We offer a benefits package including paid time off, healthcare, and 401(k). Job Requirements Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum 5 years practical experience in product development Ability to work on US Government Contracts requiring US Citizenship Strong skills in RF low noise amplifiers (LNA), RF power amplifiers (PA), RF synthesizer analysis/design (PLLs), impedance matching (Smith charts), RF filter design, switching power supplies, embedded microcontrollers and interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART), FPGA systems Proficiency with RF signal budget analysis for system metrics such as gain, noise figure, and power Experience with RF subsystems, architecture, design, and integration PCB layout experience (Altium preferred), front-end design, stack-up Excellent troubleshooting skills for noise issues and quick adaptation to setbacks Strong communication skills High attention to detail, self-driven, organized Experience with microwave test equipment (vector network analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, noise sources, multimeters, signal sources); knowledge of anechoic chambers is a plus Ability to solder small components Team collaboration and external client interaction Ability to lead projects independently from start to completion

Preferred Qualifications

Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, emphasis on electromagnetics Background in antenna design and development Knowledge of MATLAB or Python Experience with circuit simulation software (ADS, CST, HFSS)
