We are currently seeking a talented Architectural Designer to join our remote design team. This individual will play a critical role in developing architectural concepts, layouts, and design solutions for both new restaurant locations and renovations of existing ones.

Position Overview

As a Remote Architectural Designer, you will collaborate with our development, operations, and branding teams to create restaurant layouts that reflect DIVIETOs design vision while meeting operational requirements, compliance standards, and guest experience goals. You will be responsible for producing architectural drawings, design documentation, and presentations that bring projects from concept to completion.

This is a remote role, but candidates must reside in the United States and have a valid government-issued ID.

Key Responsibilities

Develop architectural design concepts, plans, and 3D visualizations for new restaurant builds and remodels.

Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and documentation in compliance with building codes and industry standards.

Work closely with internal teams (operations, development, and branding) to ensure design solutions align with brand standards and functionality needs.

Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and consultants to refine designs and resolve technical challenges.

Conduct site analysis using provided surveys, photos, and documentation to ensure accurate design planning.

Ensure all designs comply with U.S. building codes, ADA requirements, zoning laws, and health & safety regulations specific to food service establishments.

Prepare design presentations, material boards, and layouts for executive review and approvals.

Provide ongoing design support during construction phases, including responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings.

Stay updated on design trends, restaurant innovations, and sustainable practices to integrate into DIVIETOs projects.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelors degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or a related field (Masters degree a plus).

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in architectural design, preferably with restaurant, hospitality, or retail projects.

Proficiency in design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Strong knowledge of U.S. building codes, ADA compliance, and restaurant design standards.

Exceptional design presentation skills (both digital and hand sketches).

Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at once.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Must reside in the United States and provide proof of a valid government-issued ID.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.

Preferred Skills

Experience with restaurant or hospitality design.

Familiarity with sustainable design practices and materials.

Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) integration in restaurant spaces.

Experience producing 3D renderings and visualizations for client presentations.
