About HOPE Community Academy HOPE Community Academy is an accredited public charter school serving primary, intermediate, middle, and high school students in a safe, trusting learning environment where each student is valued and challenged to excel academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.
Mission: The mission of HOPE Community Academy is to educate all students to the highest levels of academic and social standards with a focus on Hmong language and culture.
As a vital part of the total learning community, HOPE Community Academy is called to educate students in an atmosphere enriched by shared Hmong and American values of peace, justice, and respect for one another. The school recognizes that a childs healthy development is dependent upon learning and living out those values.
Opportunity: HOPE Community Academy is seeking a skilled Marketing Director to lead our student recruitment initiatives, strengthen community partnerships, and elevate our school's visibility. The ideal candidate will develop strategic marketing campaigns that honor our Hmong cultural focus while building meaningful relationships with families and community stakeholders. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on enrollment growth and community engagement for a mission-driven educational institution.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing and Branding
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the school's mission and values
- Create compelling print and digital content to promote the school
- Maintain the school's website and social media platforms
- Manage design and production of promotional materials
Recruitment and Enrollment
- Lead student recruitment initiatives and develop enrollment goals and tracking systems
- Oversee school tours, open houses, and participation in community events
- Establish relationships with feeder schools and community organizations
- Monitor enrollment trends and provide data-driven reports
Parent and Community Engagement
- Lead and oversee the Parent and Community Engagement Team
- Maintain calendar and share engagement and community events and results
- Build relationships with current and prospective families through regular communication
- Design engagement strategies that empower parents as school ambassadors
- Ensure family voices are represented in school decisions
- Facilitate advisory councils and forums for family input
Community Relations
- Serve as liaison to community organizations and stakeholders
- Represent the school at community meetings and local forums
- Cultivate partnerships with local businesses, nonprofits, and public agencies
- Travel locally to various fairs, community events, and partner meetings as needed
Leadership and Staff Development
- Train staff in family and community engagement best practices
- Supervise engagement staff and volunteers
- Align engagement strategies with school priorities
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Education, or related field (or equivalent combination of education/experience)
- 3-5 years experience in marketing, recruitment, or community outreach (preferably in education)
- Proven ability to lead campaigns, analyze data, and meet enrollment targets
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills
- Knowledge of Hmong language (written and verbal) and cultural practices strongly preferred
- Experience working with diverse communities
Preferred
- Familiarity with charter school operations and enrollment cycles
- Graphic design and digital marketing experience
- Experience with Infinite Campus or similar school enrollment platforms
- Primary duties performed in school/classroom environments
- Interaction with children of all ages required
- Regular local travel to community events, fairs, and partner organizations
- Occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to adapt to dynamic school environment
