About Us:

Our client is a leading D2C wellness brand delivering high-value solutions through ecommerce and lead generation channels. Their marketing team is expanding, and we’re looking for a detail-oriented, data-savvy Email & SMS Marketing Automation Specialist to execute high-impact campaigns that support the customer lifecycle through personalized, automated messaging.

About the Role:

This role is focused on hands-on campaign execution, automation, and optimization across our email and SMS channels. You’ll work within platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, and Attentive to build and launch campaigns triggered by behavioral data and business objectives. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys translating complex data into precise, targeted communications that drive performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Execution & Automation
    • Build and deploy one-time and automated campaigns across email and SMS using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Attentive, and Klaviyo.
    • Create and manage dynamic content blocks and personalized journeys based on customer behavior, preferences, and lifecycle stages.
  • Data-Driven Personalization
    • Leverage tools like SaleWings and CRM data to deliver tailored messaging and product recommendations.
    • Implement and maintain custom audience logic using purchase behavior, engagement history, lead scoring, and business-defined triggers.
  • Business Rule Management
    • Maintain and update automation logic based on evolving business rules, segmentation changes, and product flows.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure automation rules are accurate, timely, and scalable.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization
    • Track and analyze key performance indicators (deliverability, engagement, conversion, revenue).
    • Run A/B tests and implement learnings to continually improve campaign results.
    • Report findings to internal teams with actionable insights and clear data visualization.
  • Platform & Data Management
    • Own daily operations within Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Klaviyo, including data extensions, AMPscript, journeys, and triggered sends.
    • Ensure data integrity and compliance with opt-in/opt-out protocols, privacy laws, and deliverability best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience with email and SMS marketing in a D2C or ecommerce environment.
  • Proficient with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Automation Studio, AMPscript, Email Studio, Contact Builder).
  • Experience using Klaviyo, SaleWings or similar platforms for behavior-based personalization.
  • Strong understanding of relational data, dynamic segmentation, and logic-based content delivery.
  • Ability to read and manipulate data to support campaign builds and reporting.
  • Comfortable working with complex automations, technical workflows, and platform integrations.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent QA skills and process documentation habits.
  • Experience working in lead generation and ecommerce conversion funnels is a plus.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with SQL or scripting inside Marketing Cloud.
  • Knowledge of API connections between CRM, ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify), and ESPs.
  • Experience working in regulated or privacy-focused marketing environments (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, TCPA).
