The Wellness Project Inc. is a grassroots non-profit organization looking for a Social Media

and Marketing Intern. This is a 3-month fall internship opportunity. The intern

will collaborate with the Executive Director to initiate a marketing plan to

reach more donors and keep current partners updated on the organization’s

activities and progress.

The intern will gain invaluable online media experience and may assist with other

organizational development and business activities and may communicate with

partners from time to time. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and

team-player with strong graphics and communications skills. The intern must be

able to work independently while having excellent attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to website maintenance and enhancement
  • Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
  • Create and distribute content for blogs and social networks
  • Build presence on new and/or developing social media platforms.
  • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing campaigns
  • Perform social media marketing research
  • Develop new strategies for increasing engagement
  • Assist in the coordination of fundraising events and giving campaigns
  • Work with Executive Director to update flyers, brochures, postcards and other program documents

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a college program in Marketing, Business, Communication or Graphic Design preferred. Public Health programs also considered as well as recent grads
  • Familiarity with web design and proficiency in the use of graphic software.
  • 10- hour a week commitment. Working remotely is acceptable.
  • Knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics a plus.
  • Understanding of online marketing methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Benefits & Incentives: This internship includes a stipend. If required, academic internship class credit sign-off and documentation (provided by intern) will be provided. The internship may also include a written letter of recommendation from the Executive Director of The Wellness Project Inc.
