The Paid Media Manager will lead the strategy, execution, and performance optimization of Dollar Tree full-funnel media campaigns across brand, promotional, and eCommerce objectives. This individual will serve as the day-to-day lead for a large, well-established media agency with a dedicated account team, ensuring campaigns are aligned with business goals, brand strategy, and performance expectations.
This role is responsible for driving measurable outcomes across awareness, consideration, conversion, and loyalty using a mix of media channels including display, video (online and linear), social, paid search, programmatic, and affiliate/retargeting. The Paid Media Manager will collaborate closely with internal teams-including brand marketing, eCommerce, digital, creative, and merchandising-as well as agency and platform partners to guide media investments, creative development, reporting, and ongoing optimization.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and detail-oriented media expert with strong analytical skills and a performance mindset. This person must be comfortable managing a high-volume, fast-paced media calendar and working cross-functionally to influence decisions and deliver results.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Lead strategy, planning, and execution of full-funnel paid media campaigns (brand, performance, eCommerce) across a variety of digital and traditional channels.

Serve as the primary liaison with the paid media agency, providing day-to-day direction, input on strategic briefs, and ongoing feedback to ensure flawless execution and alignment with business goals.

Manage campaign flighting, budget allocations, media mix modeling, and audience targeting in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Partner with eCommerce teams and digital marketing leads to drive measurable traffic and transactions through third-party platforms and online marketplaces.

Collaborate with internal creative teams and agency partners on brief development, asset planning, testing frameworks, and creative performance insights.

Monitor performance across all channels and provide timely reporting, insights, and recommendations to optimize campaigns and improve return on ad spend (ROAS).

Align paid media with broader omnichannel marketing campaigns and merchandising moments, ensuring consistent messaging and support across touchpoints.

Support brand lift and awareness measurement efforts through brand studies, MMM, or MTA, in partnership with analytics teams and third-party partners.

Stay current with media trends, emerging platforms, industry benchmarks, and consumer behaviors to keep Dollar Tree's media approach innovative and competitive.

Ensure campaigns adhere to compliance, brand safety, and privacy standards, while maintaining alignment with internal legal and brand guidelines.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Summary of knowledge, experience and education required.

BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in paid media, preferably in retail, CPG, or agency environments.

Proven ability to manage integrated media plans across upper, mid, and lower funnel with a relentless focus on improving results through continuous optimization.

Strong understanding of media strategy, performance marketing, and creative best practices.

Experience managing external media agencies and strong collaborating across internal departments.

Strong analytical and reporting skills with familiarity in tools like Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, DV360, or other DSPs.

Excellent project management and communication skills with ability to influence at all levels.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
