Vice President Of Enrollment And Marketing
The Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing provides strategic leadership for the University's enrollment and marketing functions. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and assessing Utah Tech University's Strategic Enrollment Management Plan, as well as its institutional marketing and public relations strategy, to advance the University's mission, elevate its brand, and grow student enrollment. The Vice President oversees the offices of Admissions, Financial Aid & Scholarships, International Programs, and University Marketing & Communication (UMAC), with strategic responsibility for enrollment marketing, regional academic pathways, and student onboarding initiatives. Reporting to the President, this leader serves as a key member of the President's Cabinet and works closely with academic, administrative, and community partners to align recruitment and branding efforts with institutional goals. Responsibilities
Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of a comprehensive, multi-year Strategic Enrollment Management Plan. Oversee all facets of student recruitment, admissions, onboarding, and scholarship awarding, including application review, acceptance processes, and yield strategies. Drive enrollment growth at the University through the development and execution of enrollment management strategies. Collaborate with academic and student success leaders to ensure smooth transitions and retention support for first-year students. Provide oversight and guidance for International Programs and Regional Academic Pathways to ensure alignment with enrollment goals and institutional partnerships. Monitor enrollment trends, identify opportunities for growth, and ensure alignment with workforce and regional demands. Develop and execute a comprehensive and integrated marketing and communications strategy to enhance the visibility, identity, and reputation of Utah Tech University. Coordinate all institutional marketing and communication effortsincluding advertising, digital and social media, branding, content strategy, public relations, and internal communications. Oversee the University Marketing & Communication Office, including public relations, creative/visual services, and events and promotions teams. Cultivate strong relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets, and serve as an institutional spokesperson when appropriate. Ensure that marketing messages and brand positioning are clear, consistent, and aligned across all University platforms and departments. Provide dynamic leadership to a diverse team across multiple departments, fostering collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Direct the hiring, supervision, evaluation, and professional development of staff within Enrollment Management and Marketing & Communication. Manage budgets and ensure responsible stewardship of resources within all reporting units. Serve on University committees and collaborate across campus to foster student engagement, institutional effectiveness, and community connection. Perform other duties as assigned by the President. Qualifications
Master's degree in a related field (e.g., higher education, marketing, communication, public relations, public administration, business administration) required; doctorate or terminal degree strongly preferred. Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in enrollment management, marketing, communications, or a related field. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups. Strong knowledge of higher education admissions, recruitment, financial aid, student support services, and onboarding strategies. Proven experience with integrated marketing strategy, brand development, digital media, and communications across traditional and emerging platforms. Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation systems commonly used in higher education (e.g., Slate, Salesforce, etc.). Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience in a university setting, preferably one with a polytechnic or regional mission. Strong understanding of regional demographics, workforce needs, and higher education trends influencing enrollment, access, and institutional visibility.
