Our customers include CLIA labs, academic research institutions, and municipalities… From cancer research to community-wide, wastewater-based epidemiology to translational testing, our work protects and improves people's lives. We are seeking a hands-on marketing leader to execute our global marketing strategy and to drive adoption and sales of our PCR and NGS kits and services. This person will work closely with our small but enthusiastic marketing team, and other functional leaders. Your colleagues are a group of passionate scientists, bioinformatics engineers, sales professionals, and chemists who are committed to delivering tech that achieves earlier cancer diagnostics and protects communities from harmful pathogens. You will report directly to the CEO and will play a key role in shaping and driving the company's strategy and growth. What You Will Be Doing: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the company’s goals to help achieve or exceed business objectives. Drive sales and lead generation through a blend of tactical execution and market strategy.This will include working with the team to do market research and campaign management as well as directing the content creation, SEO, website, and social media to build brand presence and generate leads. Direct product management and provide regional market intel and insights to our team. Lead the creation and execution of marketing campaigns and promotional activities ensuring relevance and impact within our customer communities. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and KOLs, including external: researchers, academic institutions, industry partners, and internal: sales, support, global marketing teams, to foster collaboration and support business objectives. Plan and execute marketing events, such as seminars, webinars, and conferences, to promote product awareness and generate leads working closely with the marketing event specialists. Track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing strategies, providing regular reports to management. Drive demand and grow the marketing funnel in close collaboration with the sales team and distributors. Requirements: Bachelor or degree in life sciences, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MSc or PhD in life sciences) preferred. 7+ years of marketing experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role in biotechnology, molecular diagnostics, or related fields. Key marketing skills including customer segmentation (i.e., needs assessments, profiles, personas, buying journeys), marketing program development/execution and program evaluation (metric framework) Understanding of the sales pipeline and how to positively impact funnel conversion rates Extensive knowledge of NGS and PCR technologies, applications, and products for cancer, infectious disease testing, and/or wastewater-based epidemiology. You have experience managing and mentoring enthusiastic marketing teams in fast-paced settings and strong communication skills to translate complex scientific concepts into compelling marketing messages. You love market research and getting to understanding customers’ pain-points and product opportunities. Your critical thinking skills are excellent, and you are a passionate science 'nerd' – welcome to the team - we are too! ;-) That said, you are also driven to use science in a practical way to bring game-changing solutions to market that positively impact communities and improve people’s health. You love communicating science and solutions to customers and collaborators as well as building up and 'cheerleading' your team to do the same. Additional experience that would be nice to see: Prior marketing leadership in molecular diagnostics or NGS-based technology companies Hands-on experience collaborating with small teams on ad campaigns, graphic design, tradeshow planning, social media blasts, and CRM management (Salesforce/Pardot) in a biotech context. Track record of building partnerships and scaling marketing efforts in fast-growing or startup-like biotechnology companies. Employment Type Full-time, Salary: $100k - $160k + bonus and stock options. Compensation may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
