Job Description

Our client is a fast-growing fashion startup that designs and delivers timeless, sophisticated apparel and accessories. Inspired by elevated classics and global influences, we’re redefining modern luxury through thoughtful design and exceptional craftsmanship.

Surface Designer Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with the Co-Founder to bring seasonal collections to life
  • Conduct trend and market research to support design inspiration and competitive analysis
  • Develop new fashion styles
  • Research and select prints
  • Create seamless repeat patterns and placement prints
  • Create embroidery design files
  • Select fabrics and trims
  • Create and update tech packs and assist with fittings and sample revisions
  • Help manage production calendars, sample tracking

Surface Designer Qualifications

  • Extensive surface design expertise
  • Strong portfolio of fashion design work
  • 3+ years of experience working with fashion brands
  • Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
