Overview

The Creative Team is the guardian of Book of the Month’s brand. Our Project Manager will be the operational owner of our work by intake, organizing, and assigning work that is briefed by other stakeholders and teams in the most effective manner. As the sole source of Creative operations at the company, our ideal teammate should possess an ambitious desire to run an effective process, get things done, build relationships, and learn the business, so that our Creative output shows up top notch and on time throughout the customer journey.

What you’ll do

  • Execute the creative briefing process by translating requirements from various stakeholders into well organized creative to-dos that can be executed by the creative team.
  • Manage all aspects of multiple projects and workflow at the same time by utilizing a well-organized process implemented through a project management tool.
  • Act with urgency and communicate clearly to solve roadblocks.
  • Reduce Creative turns: Sit in on creative review sessions; take the feedback and turn it into actionable feedback for the creative team.
  • Liaise with external resourcing partners as needed based on incoming priorities, assignment, and needs.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve processes and capabilities.
  • Collaborate effectively across the company by building strong relationships.
  • Bonus: Contribute creative output by possessing a creative hard-skill that can be wielded when needed.

What you should have

  • 4+ years work experience, including project management or creative production experience at a creative agency or reputable in-house brand
  • Experience executing a wide variety of communications deliverables, including but not limited to: social media, creative campaign development, video, websites, banner ads, email, CRM, live events
  • You are an expert at project management and design tools. We are an Asana, Figma, Google docs shop – you should be prepared to become a master of these specific tools if you aren’t already.
  • Experience building production timelines and working within budgets
  • You are organized, forward-thinking, self-starting, positive and deadline-driven.
  • Experience reporting into Creative leadership, or an understanding of how Creative process works (and how to best foster it)
  • A desire to be mentored by Creative leadership on the needs and functions of a tight team
  • An overall want to build close relationships with your colleagues to achieve the best outcomes possible. Confident and to-the-point when communicating with executive partners
  • An innate ability to streamline the Creative process at every step of the way
  • It’s great if you love books and reading, too!

Base salary

Base salary range: $90,000 - $120,000
