Our client is a global real estate investor/owner with a substantial real estate portfolio throughout the United States that includes Class-A multifamily, hospitality, office, retail & mixed-use assets. These are legacy properties that are high-profile in major markets across the country.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Interior Designer/PM/Owner Rep for this family office based in Miami to manage and support a variety of capital improvement projects, property upgrades and interior renovations across a diverse real estate portfolio within the U.S.. This is a hands-on, dynamic role that demands a sharp eye for interiors and property upgrades, representing ownership interests while delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee project execution and provide regular updates on progress
- Review new property acquisitions for CapEx and R&M requirements
- Prepare and deliver quarterly reports on CapEx and major R&M projects
- Review/edit contracts and vendor agreements
- Participate in leasing meetings and provide technical insights
- Identify and track value engineering opportunities
- Hire and oversee expeditors and consultants as needed
- Coordinate with project managers, property managers, and consultants
- Review and comment on architectural and interior design concepts
- Oversee FFE, material selection, procurement, and installation
- Manage resolution of code violations, liens, and legal matters
- Conduct landlord and tenant plan reviews and provide actionable feedback
- Develop and manage building plans
- Control documentation related to plans, specifications, and reports
- Maintain and update budgets for repairs and CapEx initiatives
- Organize and lead on-site project meetings
- Track construction cost indices and contribute to internal solutions library
- Compile and maintain accurate meeting notes and project documentation
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architectural design or similar
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, particularly in real estate, capital improvements, tenant fit outs, office spec suites planning and lobby design
- Knowledge of architectural, MEP/FLS systems, building assemblies, construction methods, and building codes
- Experience conducting technical reviews and translating technical language for non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
- Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to travel up to 50%
