We are seeking full-time Design Technicians to join our dynamic team. Design Technicians play a key role in the design of our product solutions. Many have two-year degrees or certificates in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture. They are experts in structural design and in clearly communicating product and installation requirements. Design Technicians work under a licensed Professional Engineer and report to the Design Center Leader.

Duties

• Model floor and roof systems using Revit software
• Model wall systems for wood and light-gauge steel using Revit
• Model mass timber systems using Revit
• Detailing
• Floor and roof truss design using RedBuilt's proprietary software
• Component design analysis and selection
• Communicate with customers, architects, engineers, and our sales team

Qualifications

• Experience drafting and modeling with software such as Revit
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Comfortable with basic trigonometry
• Detail oriented and quality focused
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Innovative and creative problem solver
• Team player and strong communicator

Helpful alternate experience

• Framing or construction experience
• Dynamo scripting for Revit
• Experience with other BIM software tools
• Prior experience designing structural wood systems

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $22.00-$40.00/hour DOE
