Overview

Designer role at Atlas Pressure Control in Houston, TX. Reports to the Director of Engineering. The Designer/Drafter is responsible for wellhead product design and drafting in accordance with customer requirements and established standards and performance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to engineering team and clients on wellhead and other product designs.
• Participate in design review meetings to support product creation and refinement.
• Develop accurate models and run 3D model scenarios as needed.
• Ensure all drawings and models are completed with quality and accuracy.
• Work with the team to create technical documents and specifications needed for equipment catalogs.
• Interface with Engineering, Sales, Procurement, and other team members to ensure designs align with customer expectations, company quality requirements and industry standards.
• Accept engineering responsibility for successful FRAC operations.

Education, Training, and Experience

• 5+ years wellhead designing and modeling experience.
• Experience working with Surface flow control equipment projects.
• Knowledge and use of ANSI, ASME and ISO Drafting Techniques and Geometric Tolerance; API/ISO Product Requirements; Basic Stress Analysis; Development and Control of Design Documentation.
• Specialized (Advanced) Computer Skills, Advanced Language Skills, Advanced Mathematical Skills and Advanced Reasoning Ability.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

None Required

Preferred Skills

• SolidWorks, AutoCAD and MathCad experience strongly desired.
