Overview
Visa is investing in its Global Product Design Team to support a growing digital product ecosystem across four specializations: Consumer, Commercial Money Movement, Value-Added Services, and Platforms. We are looking for a Designer to join our Platforms Team.
Responsibilities
- Design usable, accessible and engaging digital experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional product and business teams to build upon their vision using sound design principles to ensure alignment and project success.
- Own and make design decisions based on a thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design principles.
- Exercise independent judgment with support from supervisor and other designers.
- Advocate for our users by capturing requirements, designing flows, wireframes, testable prototypes and fully fleshed out designs; demonstrate strong problem-solving, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD).
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
- Bachelor's degree in human factors, design, psychology, sociology or related field.
- Essential Functions.
- Experience designing and developing prototypes using Figma, InVision or other industry tools.
- Experience designing high-fidelity mockups using Figma, Sketch or other industry tools.
- Subject Matter Expertise in interaction design.
- Experience conducting usability tests (including with users with disabilities) a plus.
- Experience working with SCRUM in an Agile environment a plus.
- Subject Matter Expertise in Accessibility (508/WCAG) a plus.
- Group facilitation and teaching (design thinking) skills a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including thorough and methodical attention to detail.
- Fully fluent in English and able to understand and be understood in English.
- Ability to communicate concepts and recommendations confidently to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to self-manage time and work independently or as part of a team.
- An online portfolio that demonstrates outstanding product and ecosystem thinking.
Additional Information
Work Authorization: Permanent Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position. Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position.
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

Salary notice: U.S. applicants only: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 105,800.00 to 149,550.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
