Editor, Amazon Books Editorial role at Amazon. Join the Amazon Books Editorial team and help customers discover great books. The Books Editorial curates the Best Books program (Best Books of the Month, Best Books of the Year/So Far), publishes the Amazon Book Review, works closely with authors and publishers to highlight their books to customers, and collaborates across Amazon teams to connect customers with their next great read.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and select works across Mystery, Thriller, and Suspense
• Develop content strategy and oversee publication of the Amazon Book Review
• Monitor market trends and emerging sub-genres
• Create engaging content for digital and social experiences
• Collaborate with marketing team on promotion strategies
• Maintain relationships with publishers and literary agents

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in the publishing industry
• Significant content strategy experience
• Extensive knowledge of MTS, including classical works and contemporary trends
• Exceptional writing and editorial skills
• Demonstrated analytical and trend forecasting abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Social media expertise
• Experience creating content for literary audiences
• Understanding of online fan communities and engagement strategies
• Content creation skills (video, graphics, writing)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $102,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $178,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
