Overview


We are looking for a Producer to join our team, in the badging department, located in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This hybrid role combines remote work, warehouse work, and onsite event presence. We offer cross-training opportunities across divisions with incentives to learn and evolve skillsets. Travel is required.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure all gear is set up and working by showing the client a final sample of name badge and schedule printed

Event Planning and Execution (70%)



  • Webcasting: Configure and manage live and virtual streams using platforms like Zoom, OBS, GSUITE and our proprietary software; ensure stable internet connectivity and high-quality audio/video output. Oversee production from pre to post including coordinating with hosts, AV providers and venue staff; setup and execution of hardware and software; managing other contractors and employees to assure high-end webcasts.

  • AV: Oversee setup, operation, and strike of audio, video, lighting, staging and scenic systems; coordinate with venue staff for vehicle loading requirements, power, internet, and rigging needs.

  • Badging: Manage standard and RFID badging systems, oversee attendee registration workflows, and ensure timely badge production.

  • Virtual Concierge: Supervise virtual event platforms, moderate attendee interactions, and troubleshoot platform issues for seamless guest experiences.

  • Execute event tasks according to production plans, ensuring timely setup, operation, and breakdown.

  • Assist Senior Producers in complex, multi-service events, applying cross-trained skills in a secondary service (e.g., a badging producer supporting AV services).

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and TWST staff during events, addressing concerns and ensuring deliverables meet expectations.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues during events under Senior Producer or Director guidance.

  • Assist with event planning, including preparing equipment lists, staffing schedules, and technical checklists.

  • Maintain and organize service-specific equipment, reporting any maintenance needs to Service Directors.

  • Document event details for post-event reports; stay updated on service-specific technologies and best practices to enhance event delivery.


Team Support and Supervision (20%)



  • Supervise independent contractors during events, delegating tasks and ensuring adherence to company standards.

  • Provide on-the-job training to coordinators, focusing on technical skills and event protocols.

  • Collaborate with Senior Producers and other Producers to coordinate multi-service events.

  • Participate in post-event debriefs, providing feedback on team performance and event outcomes.

  • Support Senior Producers in mentoring staff and reinforcing cross-training goals.


Cross-Training and Skill Development (10%)



  • Actively participate in cross-training to achieve functional proficiency in a second service within 6–12 months (e.g., a webcasting producer learning AV setup).

  • Attend cross-training workshops and shadow events in secondary services to build skills.

  • Apply cross-trained skills during events to support flexibility and resource allocation.

  • Provide feedback to Service Directors on cross-training program effectiveness.


Education and Experience



  • Experience: 2-3 years in live event production, with proficiency in one of the following services: webcasting, AV, badging, or virtual concierge.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Webcasting: Proficiency with streaming platforms, encoding hardware, and network troubleshooting.

    • AV: Hands-on experience with audio mixers, lighting consoles, video switchers, and scenic set pieces.

    • Badging: Familiarity with registration software platforms and badging hardware (e.g., Zebra printers, RFID scanner systems).

    • Virtual Concierge: Expertise in virtual event platforms and customer-facing moderation tools.



  • Cross-Training: Basic knowledge or training in a second service (e.g., a badging producer with introductory AV skills).

  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments and supervise junior staff or contractors.

  • Problem-Solving: Capability to address technical or logistical challenges during events with minimal supervision.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for client interactions, team coordination, and reporting.

  • Availability: Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel for onsite events (especially for full-time roles).

Compensation and Benefits



  • Salary: $60,000 yearly

  • Bonus: Discretionary - annual bonus based on company and individual performance
