Overview

Graphic Designer Signage at Spectrum Marketing Companies. As a Graphic Designer at Spectrum Signs & Graphics you will collaborate with our sales team, vendors and clients to create/prepare designs and drawings for all types of signage. We manufacture a large portion of our signage products in-house and partner with strategic vendors for other elements such as digital message boards. We offer full installation services in our regional markets and are part of the 3M national installers’ network.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed designs for signage products: Interior Signage (ADA Signage, Interior Wall Signs, Room Signs), Vinyl Graphics, Banners, Wayfinding Signage, Building Signage (e.g., Pan Channel Letters/logos, sign cabinets), Monument Signs (Freestanding Signs), Digital Signage.


• Prepare production files for use on equipment such as Large Format Printers, Plotters, Cutters and other equipment.


• Coordinate with sales, project management and production to achieve client signage/branding goals, while complying with applicable city regulations.


• Other tasks as needed to achieve the needs of our clients.

Qualifications

• Highly experienced with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop) and/or Corel Draw for technical designs such as permitting and construction.


• 2+ years of signage design experience highly preferred.


• Understanding of permitting processes; architectural/technical signage design is a plus.


• Previous exposure or proficiency in SketchUp is a plus.


• A strong knowledge of materials, fabrication methods and mechanical aptitude.


• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven, ever-changing, multidisciplinary environment with a team and individually.


• Well organized with high attention to detail.

Other requirements

• Significant periods of sitting at a desk and screen time.


• Fine motor skills for keyboarding, manipulating artwork, copy, orders and other forms.


• Oral communication in English (other languages may be a plus).


• Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
