Trine University is hiring: Adjunct Professor - Applied Music in Angola

The Trine University Music Program on the Angola, Indiana, campus, invites applicationsfor the establishment of an open pool of temporary adjunct faculty positions to teachin-person applied music lessons in brass, woodwind, string, vocal, keyboard, and percussionfor the 2025-2026 academic year. Appointments are contingent on student enrollmentand instructional need. Applications in this pool will only be good for the currentacademic year. Responsibilities include developing an applied music lesson curriculumbased on student goals, evaluating and advising student musicianship and technique,maintaining accurate records of student progress, and submitting grades accordingto institutional policies.
Additional teaching assignments may include directing sectionals with the appropriateensemble and instrument section (marching/pep band, wind ensemble, chamber orchestra,university choir, and jazz bands) in consultation with the Director of the Music program.
Applicants must have a master’s degree in music performance; experience working witha wide range of musical skill levels and styles from beginner, intermediate, and advanced;and/or four years of successful applied teaching experience at the community, university,or professional level plus a bachelor’s degree in music performance. Professionalmusic performance experience is preferred, but not required.
