Cutline is a fast-paced consumer tech PR agency based in New York City. We’re looking for an Account Coordinator to join our Phoenix-based team who wants to make a difference working with companies that are changing the world. Our clients are some of the world’s most innovative consumer technology companies. They are startups and giants alike that are challenging the status quo—changing how we interact and express ourselves, how we stay healthy, how we shop, even how we travel. ACs at Cutline are detail-oriented problem-solvers with excellent verbal and written communication skills. They should have extraordinary drive and ambition, an insatiable intellectual curiosity, and a solid sense of humor.

Key Responsibilities
- Overall Account Support & Client Relations
- This is the beginning of your client relations journey; you likely need support/help from others on the team to fine-tune your client messages, but you’re a quick learner and implement feedback immediately
- You begin making contact with clients
- You play a key support role across the teams you’re on and you proactively seek out ways to help your teammates
- You meet or exceed all deadlines — from client deadlines to getting your timesheets and monthly reports done on time
- You show a genuine interest in the B2B technology landscape and your domain industry, and take the time to learn each client’s business, media/analyst influencers, and the competitive environment — and you regularly share those learnings with your account teams
- You’re open to new ideas and change, and committed to being direct and open in all communication with colleagues and teammates
- You not only receive feedback positively and implement it immediately but you seek it out
- You’re starting to feel comfortable speaking up and having an active voice in internal meetings and client meetings
- Media, Speaking & Awards
- You’re focused on learning everything you can about the media — from how to draft pitches that capture a reporter’s attention to how to build effective media lists that lead to results
- You develop briefing backgrounders, coverage reports, editorial calendars and other prep materials for clients that need few corrections from others on your accounts
- You’re able to develop solid, typo-free coverage reports and manage the process overall from tracking (and ensuring no articles are missed) to analysis (with some help from account leads on analysis)
- You draft effective pitches and pitch reporters on proactive story ideas, announcements and more; and you proactively share feedback with the internal team
- You evaluate editorial calendars, compile and maintain opportunities lists
- You will become an expert at researching speaking and award opportunities, drafting compelling submissions, and managing speaking calendars and deadlines
- You write documents that are clear, compelling, grammatically correct, and typo free
- Marketing Strategies
- You have an understanding of and willingness to learn about relevant social media channels, strategies, and influencer programs for our clients
- You begin creating quality drafts of social media content and populate content with oversight of a more senior team member
- You are developing an understanding of measurement tools and methodologies to better understand the progress of our strategic communications campaigns across paid, earned, and owned channels
- Business Development
- You treat the agency as a client, identifying new opportunities and areas of growth, and engage, amplify, and contribute to our brand
- You provide input into strategic documents like high level background research and participate in brainstorming new ideas for business development
