ProSidian seeks a Albuquerque - VA VISN-22 | Court Reporter - VA San Diego Health Care System headquartered near Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center to support an engagement for Government - Federal (USA) Sector Clients a federal Cabinet-level agency that provides near-comprehensive healthcare services to eligible military veterans at VA medical centers and outpatient clinics located throughout the country; several non-healthcare benefits including disability compensation, vocational rehabilitation, education assistance, home loans, and life insurance; and provides burial and memorial benefits to eligible veterans and family members at 135 national cemeteries. The Veterans Health Administration is America’s largest integrated health care system, providing care at 1,255 health care facilities, including 170 medical centers and 1,074 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity (VHA outpatient clinics), serving 9 million enrolled Veterans each year.
Responsibilities
- Provide Court Reporting Services to the Westeran States Network Consortium as a non-exempt contract contingent position.
- Support requirements for Assist program and project management in a functional area with educational and practical experience, and provide Court Reporting Services to the Westeran States Network Consortium.
- Competent, efficient court reporting with necessary training and equipment to produce accurate, timely, bound and indexed transcriptions of witness testimony.
- Proficiency in English to read portions of the transcript during proceedings and clarify inaudible statements; experience with AIB, Equal Opportunity Hearing, MSPB or arbitration hearings preferred.
- Administer oaths; depositions transcribed by a duly authorized notary; flexible to accommodate turn-around requests; work products thorough, accurate and compliant with established criteria.
- Maintain high ethical and professional standards and meet milestones and delivery schedules.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related tools; ability to use email and standard computer applications.
- Be able to work near Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center and accommodate travel as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of court reporting experience.
- National Court Reports Association NCRA RPR or equivalent certification; credentials provided within one week upon client request.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related tools; proficient with Adobe Acrobat; ability to quickly learn other tools.
- Technical proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Physical requirements: bend, push, pull, lift up to 20 pounds, walk, stand and sit for extended periods, with or without accommodation.
- Travel may be required; location near Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center; US Citizenship required.
