Overview
Product Manager - Data Platform - Data Studio at Guidewire Software. We are seeking a product management professional to join our Data Platform team. Guidewire’s Data Platform builds integrated, scalable, secure data transformation and integration services to help internal development teams and customers leverage, transform, and enrich data to gain analytics-driven insights. Data Studio is the end-user application that enables business analysts, data analysts, and data integration developers to access, query, modify, and create data for downstream insights and analytics. You will identify opportunities to enhance Data Studio capabilities and developer experiences to help data stakeholders deliver meaningful insights; success will be measured by KPIs such as retention, quote conversion rate, cycle times, and customer/agent satisfaction. You will define requirements and partner with engineering to deliver front- and back-end Data Studio features and functionality, enabling new user interfaces and developer experiences. What you will do
- Collaborate with one or more engineering teams through ideation, technical development, and launch of Data Studio features used by internal application teams and customers to develop content and analytics solutions.
- Drive feature-level design sessions with engineers, architects, and UX.
- Establish a shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities and executing on them.
- Define and analyze metrics that inform product success.
- Maximize efficiency in a dynamic environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.
- Work with your manager and peers to align your team\'s work with the broader product roadmap across platform, applications, and analytics.
- Gather and define requirements to research and innovate new interactions and workflows to expose underlying curation services to end users.
- Be the expert who can help customers, QA, support, and sales with questions about Data Studio and the underlying cloud-native data platform storage, processing, and data integration services.
- Manage dependencies across teams and ensure features are delivered on time.
- Triage, prioritize, and respond to customer issues and escalations.
- On-site work in Exton, Pennsylvania is required, minimum of eight days per month.
What we are looking for
- 2+ years product management experience
- 3+ years of experience with technical data management, query, and integration applications
- Experience with UI/UX patterns and design
- Conceptual understanding of microservices, distributed systems, AWS, and the Big Data ecosystem
- Cloud-native software delivery experience
- Ability to manage complex initiatives with limited supervision
- Driven, focused, and quick to take ownership of work
- Adaptable, resilient, and able to thrive in ambiguity
- Comfort with data ingestion, cataloging, integration, and enrichment concepts and understanding how data relates to end user requirements and applications
- Technical knowledge of big data and cloud technologies, services, tooling, and infrastructure (preferred)
- Experience working with B2B SaaS (multi-tenant) is a plus
- Software engineering experience is a plus
Compensation and Benefits
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000-$208,000. Your base pay will depend on experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full-time positions or part-time roles working 30 hours or more per week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support health and well-being, including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company-sponsored retirement plan. Some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan, commissions, and/or long-term incentive awards, contingent on company and individual performance.
Work location and accommodations
