Lead UI Developer
Designated Work Location: 40 North Pearl Street Albany, NY (onsite required)
Anticipated Duration of the Engagement: 18 months
Hourly rate: $85.00 with Experis benefits.
Sub-Vendor rate: $90.00
A government form must be completed and submitted for this position.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented UI Developer to support the design and implementation of complex, scalable, and intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern UI development technologies, a strong commitment to quality and performance, and excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance health and human service delivery in New York State, focusing on areas such as Medicaid, SNAP, and other social services.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- At least 2 years in a leadership role as a Developer
- Over 7 years of experience working on complex projects
- Over 7 years of experience in UI development with patterns like MVC, building complex and scalable applications
- Over 7 years of experience developing web applications using HTML, XML, JSON, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and CSS
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Web Development, or related field
- Over 7 years of experience with .NET, C# for web applications
- Over 7 years of experience with SOA, secure web services, SOAP/REST APIs
- Over 7 years of experience with Entity Framework
- Over 7 years of experience with unit testing frameworks (xUnit/NUnit)
- Over 5 years of experience with distributed version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Over 2 years of experience designing and implementing CI/CD workflows
- Over 2 years of experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Desirable Qualifications:
- Over 2 years of experience in federal or state government settings, particularly in Health and Human Services and Integrated Eligibility Systems
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-quality, reusable, and performant UI components and applications
- Translate requirements into UI design and functionality
- Collaborate with UX designers, analysts, and other developers for a seamless user experience
- Ensure UI/UX best practices, responsive/mobile-first design, accessibility standards, and scalability
- Optimize UI performance and conduct code reviews
- Mentor junior developers and promote best practices
- Stay updated with UI development trends and contribute to process improvements
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
