Overview
The UCLA Master of Applied Economics Program in the Department of Economics invites applications for a temporary, non-senate, non-tenure-track Writing Lecturer for the Spring 2019 quarter (April 1, 2019 - June 30, 2019).
This position teaches Econ 410: Economists in Action, a writing-intensive course, and supports the writing and development of students' capstone projects, which serve as the students' thesis and are required for program completion.
Responsibilities
- Teach Econ 410: Economists in Action, a writing-intensive course that links lectures from guest speakers with economic theory and real-world events.
- Assist in the writing and development of students' capstone projects (theses) required for program completion.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree and a background in expository economic writing for a variety of professional audiences, including banks, state and federal government agencies, large corporations, and consulting firms.
