Established, leading NYC Catering & Events firm seeks a dynamic individual and motivated event producer to join our team. The company’s events range from small at-home dinners to large events up to 4,000 people. This position will work directly with the sales team and help maintain existing relationships. They will have a love of food, design and customer satisfaction. In addition, this person must have proven experience to handle multiple projects simultaneously with ease, is comfortable and successful in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

Base pay range: $75,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

Additional compensation types: Commission

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of events from start to finish
  • Collaborate with clients to bring their vision to life, while staying on budget and schedule
  • Conduct site visits, develop timelines, manage vendors, and supervise day-of operations
  • Think quickly on your feet to troubleshoot and ensure client satisfaction
  • Act as Liaison between Client and Operations to manage budgets, schedules and execution of future and current events
  • Work closely with Culinary Team to manage expectations of event/s
  • Create and organize all information that will facilitate the event/s including rental orders, staff management and equipment lists
  • Responsible for distributing all finalized event details to onsite team

Qualifications

  • 2 years of work experience needed in a luxury environment events.
  • Strong understanding of providing luxury service and exceptional experiences
  • Constantly seeks new and creative ways to meet the changing needs of our clients
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively both orally and written
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation, with a track record for delivering to plan
  • Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances; able to proactively question and challenge to prioritize and identify solutions in timely manner
  • Ability to work effectively with all company levels from senior management to outside partners and support staff
  • Proactive, confident, coupled with strong verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong influencer with skills to persuade and negotiate.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and is comfortable and successful in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours and travel when required
  • Creative problem solver, strong attention to detail, motivated and a self-starter
  • Ability and willingness to shift between managing the process and providing "hands-on" work to ensure things get done
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently; demonstrates initiative
  • Must be a team player, enthusiastic, positive, professional and polished
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Programs and Filemaker
