Our Austin studio is looking for a Senior Technical Artist to join our Tech Art team. You will grow and develop in many different areas, learning from a highly skilled team while working on cutting-edge technology. Build and maintain technologies associated with art pipelines and workflows Collaborate with Art and Engineering to drive research, identify new workflows, technologies for improved pipelines, and streamlined creation processes Solve technical issues related to rigs, animations, hair and cloth simulations, and performance capture Collaborate with other technical artists daily to find opportunities for improved workflows and tools Partner with the engineering team to ensure build stability, and to ensure that memory and performance budgets are being maintained Mentor other artists as needed Learn from and grow with some of the top talent in the industry Qualifications

5+ years in the games, film, or animation industries Pro-active problem solvers who like complex challenges Proficiency with Python/C#/C++ Fluent in Maya with significant experience in animation, rigging, shaders along with MEL Script/Maya API experience Familiarity with cloth and rigid/soft body physics setup for characters, including collision volumes Skilled with using Substance Painter/Designer, Photoshop, Perforce, and Motion Builder Experience working with existing pipelines to debug and optimize art asset reduction and validation Passion for tackling mobile centric challenges and understanding mobile platform limitations Love for video games (not just ours!) This is a fully remote role that may be based anywhere in the United States. Salary ranges for pay transparency locations — California: $108,900 - $152,500; New York State (incl. NYC): $98,100 - $137,300; Washington: $108,900 - $152,500; New Jersey: $98,100 - $137,300; British Columbia: CAD 96,400 - 135,000. Base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. The total compensation package may include a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. Details will be provided if an offer is extended.
