IBM is seeking a motivated and experienced marketing leader to support the Consulting business
Your role and responsibilities As a Consulting Field Marketing & Communications Manager, you'll lead the team responsible for building go-to-market plans based on a deep understanding of clients, partners and the local market to drive consulting signings pipeline in the Americas. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver against shared goals, including Product Marketing, Industry and Market Leaders, and Strategic Partners. To be successful in this role, you need to be a natural storyteller, with strong executive presence and a passion for data. You will need to be a strategic, resourceful, and highly organized leader, inspiring your team to think creatively and execute with extreme discipline.
The Consulting Field Marketing Manager will help achieve the following objectives:
Lead and inspire a team responsible for delivering on pipeline objectives across all dimensions of the business (markets and service lines) through marketing plans that drive deep relationships, opportunities, and advocacy with target audiences at key clients
Build plans for new targets to deliver on client expansion goals and strategic iniatives set by the business. Deliver creative, breakthrough ideas to introduce a new IBM to these audiences
Adopt new ways to incorporate AI into team operations and execution to improve productivity and creativity
Support brand eminence and advocacy by delivering client references, client speaking engagements and external communications
Manage pipeline in partnership with analytics team and direct the work of multi-program plans to react to gaps in pipe, delivering tangible results. Determine innovative ways to progress pipeline and direct teams to create and execute progression-oriented campaigns
Maintain the position of IBMC as an expert in industry, strategic partner, and client challenges by actively bringing insights from the field back to IBM to improve marketing execution
Measure, analyze, and report on the impact of marketing and communications activities
Your primary responsibilities include:
Lead and inspire a team of seasoned marketing professionals, responsible for executing multiple projects of high complexity and influencing functional strategy
Serve as the main POC to executive stakeholders and General Managers, co-creating Americas marketing plans with them to drive outcomes for their businesses. Own and nurture key business, product and marketing relationships across IBM Consulting - you are the face of marketing to sales and vice-versa
Be recognized as Subject Matter Expert in the field
Lead others in their work, providing innovative ideas, working across multiple business units, client segments and partners within the geography
Leverage data to build unique client journeys, by audience and industry
Own the pipeline deliverables for your business
Leaders are expected to spend time with their teams and clients and therefore are generally expected to be in the workplace a minimum of three days a week, subject to business needs.
Required technical and professional expertise
10 -12 years experience in developing marketing strategies and supporting marketing execution plans
Experience leading a team of seasoned professionals
Expertise in pipeline analysis to drive results across the marketing mix
Sophisticated written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized and motivated
Preferred technical and professional experience
Experience working with Consulting and/or tech
