Graphic Designer Hardgoods

As the Graphic Designer Hardgoods, you will be responsible for designing and developing graphics for MTB, MX & UTV hardgoods, including helmets, goggles, chest protectors, and other protective gear. Your work will reflect Fox's design philosophy and uphold its standards as a leader in the action sports industry. You will own the design process from concept through final tech pack handoff, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality execution. This role requires a strong understanding of current trends, materials, and technologies relevant to hardgoods, and a passion for creating innovative, performance-driven designs. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Graphics & Color and is based out of our Irvine office.

As the Graphic Designer for Hardgoods, you will have an opportunity to:

• Design and develop graphics for hardgoods products such as helmets, goggles, chest protectors, and other protective gear.
• Collaborate with Design Leadership to execute seasonal line plans and deliver compelling, brand-right product.
• Research market trends, materials, and technologies to inform design direction and innovation.
• Create engineered artwork that integrates seamlessly with complex hardgoods surfaces and forms.
• Own the design process from concept through final tech pack handoff to Product Development.
• Participate in design reviews, fittings, and sample evaluations to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Communicate design intent clearly across teams including Product Marketing, Sales, and Development.
• Travel domestically and internationally to oversee development and gather market insights.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and competitor products to ensure Fox remains a category leader.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

You have:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
• 46 years of experience in product or graphic design, preferably in hardgoods or action sports.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of 3D surfaces and how graphics interact with molded forms.
• Experience creating tech packs and working with overseas vendors.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Passion for action sports and performance gear.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and personalities.

You might have:

• Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., Rhino, SolidWorks, KeyShot).
• Familiarity with helmet safety standards and protective gear regulations.
• Prior experience designing for MX, MTB, or UTV categories.
• Valid Passport

Pay Range: Annual Salary: $61,000.00 - $85,000.00. The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
