Our client, a leader in the medical device industry, is seeking a Customs Entry Writer (Contract) to join their team. As a Customs Entry Writer, you will be part of the Trade Operations Department supporting the import operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a detail-oriented mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Customs Entry Writer (Contract)
Location: Wayne, NJ
Pay Range: $34-41/hourly
Shift: Mon-Fri 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
What's the Job?

Analyze and validate all import documentation to ensure compliance with import regulations and trade agreements.

Deliver exceptional customer service by pre-keying air and ocean shipments accurately prior to freight arrival.

Rate and verify tariff classifications, customs values, and duty calculations to ensure correct tariff rates are applied.

Communicate and collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve issues preventing release or regulatory noncompliance.

Stay updated on evolving customs regulations and participate in compliance training programs to identify areas for improvement.
What's Needed?
-
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Logistics or International Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

3 years of extensive experience and knowledge of U.S. Customs entry processes and import procedures.

Working knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Schedule, supply chain operations, and INCO terms.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems; SAP & GTS experience preferred.

Exemplary communication and customer service skills with a strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
