WSDOT has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated communications professional who will represent the Northwest Region by leading communications and public outreach strategy in the Mount Baker Area (MBA). The MBA subarea consists of Skagit, Whatcom, Island and San Juan counties. This position supports the agency's mission, strategic plan and the safety of the traveling public by leading a comprehensive Communications and public outreach program that keeps communities, stakeholders and internal staff informed about WSDOT's projects, services and transportation initiatives. This position is responsible for planning, developing, editing and disseminating publications and a variety of communications and marketing materials as part of the overall public information function as well as media relations and emergency response communications.
