Kanak Elite Services
Overview
We're seeking a UX Specialist skilled in both research and design to support the work management workstream at Kanak Elite Services. Location: Fully onsite in Jupiter, Florida. Duration: 3-6 months contract (this will be extended next year). You'll help drive AI-enabled enhancements in our custom enterprise platform by coordinating with product leaders, stakeholders, and end-users. You'll conduct research, define requirements, design solutions, and hand off to development teams using our design system and Figma. Familiarity with AI use cases (classification, reinforcement learning, and LLMs) is desirable. Key Responsibilities
Plan and conduct user research (interviews, contextual inquiries, surveys, usability testing) to uncover user needs, pain points, and success criteria within the work management domain. Translate research findings into actionable artifacts: problem statements, user journeys, personas, scenarios, requirements, and success metrics. Collaborate with product leaders, stakeholders, and end-users to define direction, prioritize features, and build a product-ready design backlog. Create UX designs across information architecture, flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes using the company design system and Figma. Ensure consistency with the design system; contribute to its evolution as needed. Facilitate design reviews and smooth handoffs to development; deliver developer-ready specs, assets, and guidelines. Explore AI-enabled features and use cases (classification, reinforcement learning, LLMs) to improve user outcomes; translate AI concepts into practical UX patterns. Partner with product, engineering, data science, and QA to validate designs and acceptance criteria; participate in user acceptance testing. Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders; manage timelines and deliverables. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). 3+ years of experience in UX design and user research, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX workflow from research to design handoff. Proficiency in Figma and a solid understanding of design systems, information architecture, interaction design, and usability principles. Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. On-site availability at Jupiter, FL five days a week (M-F, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM).
