Responsibilities
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Hours: 5-10 hours per week
Maintain regular practice of the spiritual disciplines.
Be a continual learner (read, listen, watch, research, resource, and equip others to lead).
Committed to a blended worship style that is creative and diverse.
Plan all services and events in coordination with the Senior Pastor.
Maintain a regular weekly time to meet with the Senior Pastor to discuss each upcoming gathering.
Lead the music in the Sunday morning service.
Oversee the arrangement of music for regular and special worship services, including but not limited to personnel scheduling, rehearsal schedules, and special guests, in coordination with the Senior Pastor.
Maintain a standard list of songs that bring glory to God, are theologically sound, and that minister to the congregation, inspiring them to know Jesus and become more like Him.
Attend all necessary music rehearsals.
Willing to perform other duties the Senior Pastor requests.
Personal Qualifications
Be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior.
A friendly and professional demeanor, a hospitable and humble spirit, and a kind, compassionate, and caring heart for people and for developing Christ-centered relationships.
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Capacity to multitask, take initiative, be patient, and attend to details.
Education
High school diploma.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Willing to become proficient with ProPresenter.
Proficient in a musical instrument and voice.
A commitment to excellence, personal growth, and teamwork.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willing to become proficient in Church Management Software: Subsplash and/or Planning Center.
