Overview
Candidate will engage with organizations to provide strategic vision and direction to the USSF for Force Design, concept development, and wargaming activities. Responsibilities
Represent SpOC S35 equities at DoD, Joint, inter-service, and partner concept development and wargaming forums.
Ensure the inclusion of Joint and other Service concept-required capabilities into the Force Design process.
Shape the development of Joint warfighting and supporting concepts.
Facilitate senior leader decision-making forums.
Ensure the generation, maintenance, and approval of the Objective Force.
Provide support to USSF POM development and oversee Service and Joint space capability development efforts to enable targeted, informed, and prioritized investment decisions.
Direct modeling, simulation, and analysis activities to identify candidate space and ground architecture alternatives and evaluate their performance, resiliency, and affordability to create recommendations for future systems.
Collaborate and coordinate across the DoD, Intelligence Community (IC), other government agencies, defense industry partners, and potentially Allied defense partners to develop authoritative Force Design recommendations for Space Superiority capabilities that satisfy joint force mission needs.
Qualifications
10 or more years working in acquisitions and/or operations capacities, preferably with SDA/EW mission systems.
Five or more years working with any military HQ Staff, preferably one that operated in support of current and future SDA/EW mission areas.
Knowledge of SpOC space superiority units/missions/weapon systems.
Proficiency with SpOC acquisition/requirements/PPBE organizations/processes.
