Overview Local Marketing Specialist –

Big Blue Swim School

is a fast-growing, mission-driven company that aims to show kids they can do anything by unlocking their full potential in the water. Big Blue has 48 open locations providing children’s swim lessons across the US, plus more than 250 additional franchise locations sold. This role is to assist with the successful delivery of marketing campaigns on behalf of corporate and franchise pools around the country. This role is primarily work from home and preference will be given to candidates in the greater Chicago area. Occasional travel and visits to our co-working space downtown will be necessary.

Responsibilities

Support the Marketing Team and cross-functional teams in the development, testing, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring proper messaging is used and location information is accurate.

Help develop and proof marketing materials including collateral, social media content, and personalized emails aimed at driving trial and purchase, taking stakeholder feedback into account while upholding brand standards.

Assist with the creation and maintenance of local listings and local social media pages across all locations.

Respond to social media comments on the national brand pages.

Maintain internal task lists for launches, including new pool openings, ensuring pool teams are on track for goals and KPIs.

Pull reports on sales and dollars spent and report on results to various stakeholders.

Collaborate on marketing projects and be open to ongoing training and adaptation that comes with a startup environment and evolving franchise partner needs.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or other related discipline.

2-5 years’ experience in marketing or a related field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and marketing tools such as CRMs, Canva, Google Business Profiles, Yelp, Facebook, etc.

Team player who can work with internal and external partners to deliver key marketing objectives in a timely manner.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills that inform and build trust with a variety of stakeholders.

Detail-oriented, self-starter with the ability to multitask and be agile in a fast-paced environment while working in a semi- or fully remote startup environment.

The salary for this role may vary based on experience with a typical range of $65,000 - $80,000 annually
