Product Marketing Manager I focused on New Rider Growth , you'll figure out how we get new users to take their first rides through the right marketing messages and experiences. In this role, you'd be instrumental in unlocking significant growth for Uber in key regions. You would have the important task of figuring out how to accelerate the number of new riders taking a first trip and beyond with Uber, in markets all around the world. It is focused on crafting the right messaging and marketing tactics to increase confidence, inspire usage, and get them ready to ride through experimentation. You'll partner closely with teammates across Product, Marketing, Research, Design, and Engineering to grow our rider base. You'll bring a creative and user-first mindset, paired with a curiosity for data and optimization. This is a high-impact, strategic role where you'll have the opportunity to shape customer journeys, contribute to being the front door of what our new users see, and connect the dots across Marketing and Product to catalyze growth across diverse global audiences.

What You'll Do

New rider content strategy: Own the roadmap for the types of marketing content and tactics we run in the app and beyond to get new signups to convert to taking their first ride.

Driving experimentation: Collaborate cross-functionally to test hypotheses to convert new riders in onboarding, the homescreen, and more.

Leveraging insights: Craft positioning, messaging, and education tailored for different audiences based on insights, motivations, and barriers to adoption.

Championing new rider needs: Partner with Research and Product teams to synthesize insights on non-users and under-engaged users to inform campaign strategies.

Scaling content globally: Take learnings from experiments and scale campaigns to markets around the world. Tailor content to key markets to ensure it resonates with new riders.

Content creation: Work with agency partners and contribute to content creation yourself through copy ideas and design ideas using tools like Figma or Canva.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of experience in product marketing or growth marketing

3+ years of experience in consumer product marketing

Preferred Qualifications

Growth experience: Designing and executing creative campaigns and marketing tactics aimed at new customer acquisition, conversion, or early engagement.

Penchant for data: You can use data to inform decisions and drive growth.

Storytelling: You can craft a compelling narrative across different touch points and match the message to the medium.

Self-starter: Action-oriented, collaborative, and able to simplify complex problems.

Grittiness: Willingness to roll up your sleeves and persevere.

Experimentation: Experience running experiments and interpreting results.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to leadership.

Insight-minded: Willingness to deeply understand the market, customers, and competition.

Product thinking: Translate insights into product and marketing ideas to increase conversion.

Copywriting: Ability to develop consumer-friendly copy quickly.

Design: Proficiency with design tools like Figma or Canva to create visuals for testing.

AI: Growth-minded use of AI to improve workflows and accelerate content creation for experiments.

Compensation and Benefits For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range is USD 135,000 - 150,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award and other types of compensation. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
