Marketing and Communications Director — As Marketing and Communications Director, you’ll be the driving force behind Colle McVoy’s marketing and communications engine, leading the execution of integrated strategies that elevate our brand, showcase our work, and drive visibility with clients, talent, and the industry. This is a hands-on role for an excellent writer and communicator who can craft compelling narratives across channels and formats. You’ll manage internal and external communications, partner with agency leaders (including external partners), and ensure our story is told consistently and creatively—from internal messaging and PR to our website, awards, and social platforms. Responsibilities

Lead internal and external communication across all platforms in partnership with the CEO, ensuring messaging is clear, timely, and aligned with agency priorities. Develop and manage internal editorial calendars, announcements, and leadership messaging. Own and manage the agency’s marketing calendar, integrating PR, content, awards, events, and social media into a cohesive plan. Partner with outside communications and marketing resources. Support executive visibility through speaking engagements, bylines, and thought-leadership content. Work with internal partners to ensure operational excellence across marketing initiatives. Lead all storytelling efforts for the agency’s website and social channels, with emphasis on highlighting new campaigns, new client partners and agency culture. Play a leading role in evolving and maintaining the agency’s brand voice and tone, and visual identity. Collaborate with the growth team to support external marketing activities including prospecting events, paid campaigns and targeted activities. Monitor industry trends and proactively insert the agency into relevant conversations. Manage the agency’s awards process. Required Skills

Exceptional writer and storyteller: versatile writer who can craft compelling narratives across formats—press releases, thought leadership, social content, awards submissions and more. Media and content strategy expertise: proven success in content marketing, award submissions, and event strategy. You understand how to shape stories that get noticed and shared. Strong editorial and strategic judgment: you know how to identify what’s newsworthy, align messaging with brand strategy, and tailor content for different audiences and channels. Operational excellence: highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality work on deadlines. Collaborative: Skilled at building relationships across teams and levels; able to work closely with leadership, creative, growth, and external partners. Analytical and results-oriented: Comfortable using data and analytics to inform strategy, measure performance, and optimize marketing and communications efforts. Discrete and professional: experienced in navigating sensitive topics and executive communication with clarity, tact, and confidentiality. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field. 8-12 years of agency or brand experience, ideally in creative, marketing, or communications. Strong project management skills and the ability to execute across multiple workstreams. Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce). A collaborative mindset and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners. Ability to travel as needed. At the time of posting, the base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $140,000. Compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and wellness options, agency perks, and the flexibility of a hybrid work environment. About Colle McVoy
