Niantic’s Live Game team seeks a Producer to lead and support short-term projects like GO Fest for Pokémon GO. We’re looking for a bold and innovative Producer to work on a short-term set of projects in Pokémon GO. Live Events are a core extension of Niantic products, highlighting exploration, exercise, and real-world social interaction. This role would support the execution of major events such as Pokémon GO Fest, Pokémon GO Tour, and Pokémon GO Safari Zones. The ideal candidate is a genuine Pokémon GO fan who has experience producing large-scale events and managing concurrent projects.

A blend of technical aptitude, Pokémon brand knowledge, and creative thinking is required to succeed in this role. Join the team and make a positive impact on millions of Trainers around the world.

Responsibilities

Support Pokémon GO live events, key campaigns, and business objectives, in close partnership with game designers and marketing.

Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to execute real-world live events reaching 5,000 to 300,000 players, as well as global in-app events reaching millions.

Oversee technical support and QA coordination to ensure live events are properly set up and thoroughly tested before going live.

Engage with the team to keep them apprised of current live event statuses and present data-driven results and recaps.

Break down multifaceted issues into workable components to guide projects from creation to launch.

Work with engineers, designers, and artists to bring features to market.

Qualifications

Experience producing a live service mobile game.

You have collaborated on the growth of a live product or service.

You are able to demonstrate extraordinary organization, communication, detail-oriented, and leadership skills while working on cross-functional teams (design, engineering, production, etc.).

Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately and/or ability to solve practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice.

Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications.

You love Pokémon GO.

Willingness to travel.

Experience with project management tools such as Jira.

You have worked on games or gaming platforms.

You have experience working with an external partner.

You have localization experience

The hourly rate for this role is between $60.00/hr - $67.00/hr. This is a 6 month contract. This is a contractor position and the work should be performed based on service agreement and SOW. Niantic will not offer Contractor direct employment contract, salary, benefits, equities, or any compensation associated with employment.
