Overview Florida Heat Pump Manufacturing (FHP), located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is a joint venture between Robert Bosch (BOSCH Group) and Carrier Corporation. Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor an internal team of j designers; conduct regular design reviews and corrections.

Manage daily task creation, prioritization, and assignment for internal and external design teams

Coordinate and communicate effectively and improve designing maturity of external corporate service design team.

Provide clear, actionable feedback to internal and external teams.

Ensure all WSHP designs meet technical specifications, industry standards, and project milestones.

Proactively identify design risks and implement corrective actions and create /improve the design guidelines for our products

Develop and maintain design schedules and progress tracking tools.

Support cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Technical Service Department’s teams.

Maintain high standards for CAD modeling, drawings, BOMs, and related technical documentation.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field (Master’s preferred)

7+ years of design engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Strong background in HVAC product development; experience with Water Source Heat Pumps is highly preferred.

Expertise in CAD software (e.g., Unigraphics, Team Center and SAP systems.)

Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop junior engineering/design talent.

Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently, drive deliverables, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO standards for drawings, UL, ASHRAE, AHRI, CE, ISO) is a plus.

Preferred Skills

Experience coordinating with external or outsourced design teams.

Understanding of UL standards, AHRI performance standards, and HVAC regulatory requirements.

Familiarity with sheet metal, copper tube bending and plastic part design for manufacturability
