Lindsay Gerber Interiors is an award-winning, luxury residential interior design firm in San Francisco looking for a Junior Designer to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience at a luxury residential design firm, strong organizational skills, a positive attitude and a collaborative, detail-oriented approach. We are looking for someone passionate about design excellence who communicates confidently and thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Responsibilities Responsibilities include:
Support Senior Designers and the Principal in preparing client presentations, design boards, budgets, and project documentation
Help develop and update floor plans, elevations, and furniture plans in AutoCAD
Assist in creating and maintaining material, finish, and furniture schedules with accuracy and consistency
Use Studio Designer to prepare proposals, purchase orders, and invoices for client review and approval
Research and source furniture, lighting, fabrics, and accessories that align with the project vision
Work with vendors to request quotes, confirm details, track samples and shop drawings, and monitor production schedules
Update project budgets and expediting trackers in collaboration with the LGI team
Help maintain an organized, functional office and sample library, and support the team with occasional errands as needed
Provide on-site support during installations, including styling, accessory shopping and photo shoots
Communicate clearly with designers, vendors and other project stakeholders while demonstrating a proactive, detail-oriented approach and eagerness to learn
Requirements & Qualifications
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area with access to a reliable car; frequent local travel required
Hybrid schedule: On site at our San Francisco office 3 days per week with regular trips to client job sites
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Studio Designer, and Adobe Creative Cloud, with familiarity in project management and office tools (Asana, Google Suite/Office 365); knowledge of Revit/SketchUp is a plus
Experience with FF&E and furniture specifications, including furnishings, lighting, hardware, window/floor coverings, materials, and finishes
Comfortable managing purchasing details and budgets with accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors and project partners
Exceptional attention to detail, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills; able to interact professionally with clients, vendors and team members at all levels
