Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager on a contract basis to help support our customer's business needs. This role is a hybrid setup (2+ days/week, Tues/Wed required) in Mountain View, CA. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, this role is critical in optimizing the operational efficiency and accelerating the pace at which the marketing team can execute strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in program management, a keen eye for process improvement, and the ability to drive complex projects to successful completion within a fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the effectiveness of a high-performing marketing organization.
Responsibilities
Operational Excellence: Partner with the Chief of Staff and Marketing leadership to identify, develop, and implement processes and tools that enhance the overall operational efficiency and velocity of the Marketing organization.
Program Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional marketing programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, on-time completion, and within scope. This includes defining project scope, setting timelines, managing resources, and identifying and mitigating risks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration across various marketing teams (e.g., product marketing, demand generation, communications, creative) and with other departments (e.g., sales, product, operations) to ensure integrated program execution.
Process Improvement: Proactively identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within existing marketing workflows. Develop and implement solutions that streamline operations and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Performance Tracking & Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for programs and initiatives, track progress, and provide regular, clear, and concise reports to the Chief of Staff and relevant stakeholders on program status, risks, and outcomes.
Documentation & Best Practices: Develop and maintain comprehensive program documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-mortem analyses. Champion the adoption of best practices in program management across the organization.
Tool & Technology Optimization: Assist in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new marketing technologies and tools that can further enhance operational velocity and team effectiveness.
Qualifications
4+ years of demonstrable experience in a Program Management role, ideally within a marketing or high-growth technology organization.
Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, from initiation to closure.
Ability to logically and efficiently structure ambiguous problems, identify sources of data, conduct complicated analysis, identify key insights, and recommend actions.
Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels.
Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and work within deadlines with little supervision.
Ability to communicate with executive team, business, and recruiting leaders.
Proactive and self-directed with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
