In the role of Senior Water Marketing/Proposal Lead, we\'ll count on you to:

Responsibilities

Lead project pursuit teams, support capture planning, manage pursuit processes and follow quality procedures for document production

Train and mentor employees on business development and marketing best practices

Assist our Market Sectors Leaders with the development of local marketing plans, market analysis, client development plans, and support business development activities

Supporting Water Services Market Sector Leaders in the development of marketing strategies, client development plans, and pursuit capture planning

Develop and implement procedures and processes for identification, screening and selection of pursuits

Conduct pursuit capture planning and proposal coordination meetings with technical teams

Administer implementation of the go/no-go decision process in accordance with HDR’s Matrix of Authority

Provide storyboarding and message development for proposals

Be responsible for timely production and quality of marketing deliverables and communications

Conceptualize, research and produce marketing materials, proposals, promotions and presentations

Develop and coordinate graphics, write and edit layout materials

Write non-technical text, and edit and proofread marketing collateral

Support implementation of strategies that elevate HDR’s brand and technical talent with industry associations

Coordinate trade show participation and booth activities, including developing conference concepts, promotions and artwork

Participate in SMPS, AZ Water Association, APWA and other professional organizations as appropriate

Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree: Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, English or Journalism preferred

Deep knowledge of the A/E/C industry’s standard approach to procurement of professional services – specifically state and local agencies in Arizona and New Mexico

Ability to lead, prioritize, and coordinate marketing team members to meet Business Group goals

Ability and desire to travel and engage with others in-person

Minimum of 8 years proposal marketing experience, preferably in the A/E Industry, 10 years preferred

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, and MS Office (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong computer skills, creative/graphic design skills and use of other media in marketing proposals, presentations and related collateral materials

Committed to quality and HDR values

Works cooperatively with diverse teams, as well as area, regional, and national technical managers and project staff

Requires little or no direction in area of specialization

Must exhibit proficient technical computer skills, advanced knowledge of communication theory and basic layout and design principles

Demonstrates understanding of market and technical proposals

Quick self-starter, team-oriented and able to work with different personalities and professional styles

Highly articulate, have a clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and good decision-making abilities

Adhere to HDR standards, facilitate the proposal review process, and guide production

An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Required Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign

Demonstrated "self-starter" with a history of completing projects with limited oversight
