Overview
We are looking for an Instructional Designer for our client, a leading global security and aerospace company. In this role, you create effective and engaging learning content by designing and developing instructional materials based on job/role/task performance. Partner with subject matter experts to identify learning needs, apply instructional design principles, create learning content, guide training implementation, and evaluate training results. This is a 12-month contract (extensions likely), 40-hour-per-week (4-day 10-hour shifts per week) role. This role is an on-site role in Fort Worth, TX. This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.
Responsibilities
Analyze learning needs and associated tasks.
Identify knowledge gaps and determine the most appropriate learning solutions.
Design and develop learning materials based on instructionally sound learning objectives.
Create engaging and effective learning solutions.
Utilize the Instructional System Design model in all training activities.
Collaborate with subject matter experts who possess expertise in specific fields to ensure accurate and relevant content.
Create knowledge/skill checks to measure learner progress.
Evaluate learning solution effectiveness by collecting and analyzing feedback immediately following training completion and three to six months following training.
The Most Essential Aspects Of This Role Are Course development the instructional designer must have at least five years of experience in the development of classroom and self-study training course materials using Microsoft 365 products. Experience in the development of online training using Adobe Articulate Storyline is needed. An instructional designer must apply all phases of the ISD model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) in the development of learning solutions. An instructional designer must have created training content consisting of learning objectives, learning content supporting the learning objectives, and test items aligned with the learning objectives. An instructional designer must be able to identify the performance expected of the learner at the conclusion of training and design and develop the training accordingly. An instructional designer must be able to identify and incorporate improvements into course materials following implementation. An instructional designer must be able to determine the most appropriate learning solution given the content to be implemented. An instructional designer must have strong project management skills.

Requirements
7+ years of experience performing training needs analyses.
5+ years of experience developing course materials, including instructor guides and learner guides.
9+ years of experience using Microsoft 365 products.
2+ years of experience developing online training content using Adobe Articulate Storyline.
2+ years of experience in the design and development of training program curricula consisting of at least two courses.
Bachelor's Degree.
