Marketing Manager (Contract) – Microsoft. This is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft. Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join our marketing team, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing player experiences for one of the most beloved gaming franchises in the world. This position focuses on driving awareness and engagement for post-sale monetization offerings, including subscription services and downloadable content (DLC). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define strategies, develop go-to-market plans, and execute impactful marketing campaigns that directly contribute to the growth of our subscription and services businesses. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on the Minecraft community while working in a fast-paced and creative environment. Job Responsibilities
Create, manage, and implement marketing strategies for monthly subscription service updates to drive acquisition, engagement, and retention of subscribers. Lead go-to-market strategy for regular catalog sales, driving interest and conversion. Collaborate with partnerships team and external partners to launch DLC collaborations for key brands. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering leads, data science, creative teams, and marketing leads, to execute product go-to-market plans for key marketplace content updates. Partner with Business Owners of Realms Plus and Marketplace Pass to identify marketing activities that reduce churn and increase subscriber engagement. Develop marketing plans to promote new features added to subscriptions and ensure up-to-date marketing content. Collaborate with IMC and media teams to create paid media campaigns that drive acquisition and retention for Marketplace Pass and Realms. Partner with Player Lifecycle Management team to develop in-game messages that enhance player retention and engagement. Author brand briefs providing consumer insights and direction to maintain marketing consistency across all platforms. Coordinate with the Minecraft community and Editorial team to influence engagement strategies for subscriptions and multiplayer experiences. Present reports on marketing strategies, plans, and findings to team managers, stakeholders, and leadership. Manage relationships with internal stakeholders effectively. Provide feedback on market research as necessary. Qualifications
2+ years of experience in marketing or related fields. Experience managing go-to-market campaigns from inception through execution. Proven track record of working with product stakeholders and managing cross-team relationships. Familiarity with executing unified campaigns across various marketing channels. Strong understanding of marketing strategy development and execution. Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Proven ability to collaborate across groups effectively and communicate clearly. Proficient in using data analytics to inform decision-making processes. Ability to influence product features through collaboration with engineering teams. Resilient mindset with adaptability in a fluid, agile work environment. Additional Details
