Codeworks is an IT Services firm headquartered in SE Wisconsin, known for our strong commitment to quality and for our direct client relationships.

Who We’re Looking For:
In this role, the writer will create a variety of technical documentation, including user documentation, how-to guides, integration guides, and application specifications. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to translate technical concepts into clear and accessible language, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Work Arrangement
  • Duration: 1 year with the possibility of extension.
  • Interview Process: Virtual interview via MS Teams. A vendor representative will join briefly at the beginning of the interview to verify candidate participation.
  • Location: Local candidates (within 90 minutes of Lansing, MI) at the time of submission only.
  • Hybrid Schedule: 2 days per week in office; fully remote work is not available.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing and editing for the software development industry.
  • 4+ years of experience in technical writing and editing for the financial industry.
  • 4+ years of experience developing online source documentation.
  • 4+ years of experience creating help manuals, training materials, and user guides.
  • 4+ years of experience maintaining documentation libraries and subscription lists.
  • 4+ years of experience ensuring proper access and use of documentation materials.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Ability to clearly communicate information to business partners, technical staff, managers, and executives.
  • Ability to identify, create, revise, and maintain documentation and templates.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Prior experience working with Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering Methodology (SEM) and Project Management Methodology (PMM).
  • Experience working with state or federal government projects.

Codeworks, LLC discloses that the anticipated hourly pay range for this position starts at $35. This rate is subject to change based on job-related factors, including client requirements where applicable.
