Overview The Intermediate Designer will work closely with the Design Director, Creative Director, Junior Designers, and Technical Designers to develop design concepts for clients, including collaboration with architects and contractors as needed. We are seeking candidates with at least 4–5 years of interior design experience, a portfolio demonstrating an eye for detail and a design sensibility aligned with our firm’s vision. Candidates should be able to execute a design project from concept through construction administration, including concept, design development, space planning, sourcing, drawings for interior architectural design intent, and installation. Responsibilities

With guidance, assist in the development and realization of design projects from start to finish, under the direction of the Lead Designer and Project Manager. Develop skills and assist the team in conceiving concepts and designs to meet client programs, RoseBernard Studio standards, and project budgets. Consistently work within and maintain RoseBernard Studio standards. Assist in preparing and completing documentation packages for all project phases. Coordinate the completion of presentation packages, material boards, and other presentation collateral for the team. Organize project folders and materials in accordance with RoseBernard Studio standards. Order project samples and coordinate the completion of physical specification binders and/or shipment of tagged contractor samples. Assist in project specification writing. Assist in overall department tasks and production of CSR deliverables. Qualifications

Architecture or Interior Design degree from an accredited 4-year program (internship experience desired). Passion and understanding of the design process in color, product selection, and form. Ability to graphically communicate design direction, including hand sketching/rendering and 3D visualization of furniture and spaces. Strong organizational skills. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, and other industry-standard programs. Collaborative, self-motivated, positive, and flexible with strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills and ability to interface with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal staff. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the hospitality design industry as an interior designer. Location and work arrangement: reside in the Bay Area and work in our San Francisco studio, Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
