About The Role As a Sr. Manager, you will lead our New Vertical acquisition efforts and define the strategy for who we target, where we target, and how we communicate to consumers. You will manage a team of three, with the ultimate goal of driving retentive growth of New Vertical users. This position blends product marketing with growth marketing initiatives, giving you the opportunity to craft innovative campaigns and solutions to get consumers to do more with DoorDash.

You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…

Operate as a general manager within marketing, setting vision, goals, and strategies across both resurrection and affordability work streams.

Work on 0 to 1 bets as well as large initiatives that drive impact at scale.

Be the voice of the customer, understanding top pain points and serving as a go-to expert on churned audiences for the Marketing organization.

Develop the consumer acquisition strategy (the “what”), including goals, category focus, and core value proposition, keeping the consumer at the heart of our approach.

Lead cross-functional collaboration with Brand, Creative, Retention, and Performance Marketing teams to bring the strategy to life across paid, owned, earned, and in-app channels.

Interface with product, strategy & operations, analytics, and finance to develop integrated strategies and report on key initiatives and campaigns.

Track primary metrics across functions and report progress to the organization and senior leadership.

Stay current on marketing best practices, cultural trends, and the competitive landscape.

Qualifications

7+ years of professional experience in marketing in corporate or startup environments.

Fluency across the marketing mix with a deep understanding of marketing principles and funnel dynamics.

Strong ability to connect with people, build relationships, and influence without direct authority.

Strategic, business-minded with the ability to identify trends and derive audience insights.

Creative and collaborative, with a track record of solving problems in innovative ways.

Proactive, dependable, self-motivated, and able to multi-task with a bias for action.

Proven experience driving and measuring business impact through marketing.

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

2+ years of people leadership experience.

Paid marketing experience preferred; SEO/SEM experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits The compensation for this role includes base salary, equity opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package. The national base pay range is $149,600—$220,000 USD, localized based on location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with employer matching, parental leave, paid time off, wellness benefits, commuter benefits match, disability and life insurance, and more. Paid Time Off

Salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.

Hourly roles: vacation accrual and paid sick time accrual calculated based on hours worked (examples provided in original).
